Roburna Consensus Mechanism
The Roburna Consensus Mechanism defines how the Roburna network is secured, how validation is performed, and how the wider ecosystem participates in supporting network operations.
At its core, the network is secured through Proof-of-Earn (PoE), the consensus mechanism responsible for validating transactions and maintaining the blockchain. Alongside PoE, Roburna uses Delegated Proof-of-Earn (DPoE), which enables token holders to participate by delegating their tokens to validator pools that support the network's validation infrastructure.
Together, these mechanisms create a validation model where network security and community participation work hand in hand. Validators maintain the network through PoE, while ecosystem participants strengthen the validation environment through DPoE, allowing more people to contribute to the network without operating validator infrastructure themselves.
The Roburna Consensus Mechanism is designed to provide:
- Reliable network validation
- Community participation through delegation
- Decentralized coordination
- Scalable validation infrastructure
- Long-term ecosystem sustainability
#Proof-of-Earn (PoE)
Proof-of-Earn (PoE) is Roburna's primary consensus mechanism and is responsible for securing the network and validating transactions.
PoE forms the foundation of the Roburna blockchain by coordinating validator operations and maintaining the integrity of the network. Through this mechanism, validators process transactions, produce blocks, and help ensure the network remains secure, reliable, and decentralized.
As the core validation layer of Roburna, PoE provides the infrastructure that powers the network while working alongside Delegated Proof-of-Earn (DPoE) to enable broader ecosystem participation.
#Delegated-Proof-of-Earn (DPoE)
Delegated Proof-of-Earn (DPoE) extends the Roburna consensus model by allowing token holders to support the network through validator pools.
Instead of operating validator infrastructure directly, participants can delegate their tokens to pools that contribute to the network's validation layer. This enables the wider community to participate in strengthening the ecosystem while PoE validators continue to perform the core validation responsibilities.
Working alongside Proof-of-Earn (PoE), DPoE expands participation across the Roburna ecosystem by making it easier for more people to contribute to the network through delegation.
#Elastic Validation
Elastic Validation is Roburna's validator management model, designed to help the network maintain a sustainable and scalable validation environment as the ecosystem grows.
Rather than relying on permanently fixed validator requirements, Elastic Validation adjusts validator participation conditions in response to network growth and ecosystem activity. This adaptive approach helps ensure that the validation layer can evolve alongside the network while maintaining stability and long-term sustainability.
As part of Roburna's consensus architecture, Elastic Validation works alongside Proof-of-Earn (PoE) and Delegated Proof-of-Earn (DPoE) to support a balanced validation environment. While PoE secures the network through validators and DPoE enables community participation through delegation, Elastic Validation helps manage how the validator layer adapts as the ecosystem develops.
The purpose of Elastic Validation is to support a healthy validation infrastructure that can scale with the Roburna ecosystem while maintaining reliable network operations.
